The TACSI WB system is a full, stand-alone technology that automates and integrates the manual steps of the Buffy Coat (BC) method of WB processing. Plus, it can process six units of WB at a time. With a single, modular platform for processing both WB and pooled BC platelets, multi-unit processing and the ability to preload bags outside of the device, the TACSI WB system can help meet the challenges of a highly productive environment.
This new TACSI device is a natural evolution of the TACSI PL system, already used by many component labs to create more consistent platelet concentrates from pooled BCs.
The TACSI WB device can do everything the TACSI PL device does, plus it can process WB into red blood cell concentrates, plasma and BCs.
