COBE® 2991 Cell Processor Basic 5-Day Technical Training Course for Service/Repair
This 5-day technical course covers the theory of operation, applications, component identification, troubleshooting, calibrations, and preventive maintenance. Emphasis is placed on providing a well-rounded understanding of the various vintage configurations available with the COBE 2991 cell processor. Coursework includes understanding the hydraulic pump, the centrifuge motor, power distribution, mechanical drives, and associated control circuits. Heavy emphasis is placed on learning the preventive maintenance procedures and troubleshooting failures. A brief history of the development of the COBE 2991 cell processor will be presented.
Upon completing this course, you will be able to:
- Provide in-depth control circuit analysis
- Troubleshoot the different vintage COBE 2991 cell processors in the field
- Perform preventive maintenance on the COBE 2991 cell processor
- Perform calibration on the COBE 2991 cell processor
Prerequisites:
Learners must have a strong electrical/mechanical background. An understanding of transistor logic circuits; CMOS gate technology, including various flip flops; OR, AND, NOR and NAND gates; and invertors is strongly recommended. The ability to use basic test equipment, such as pressure meters, digital multimeters, and tachometers, is necessary for successful completion of the course. Attendees must complete the pre-class readings and be prepared to pass a quiz.
