Senior Vice President, Global Research and Development

Jacqueline (Jackie) is the Senior Vice President and Global Head of Research and Development. She leads a global team focused on enterprise-wide collaboration to bring complex and innovative programs to life.

With more than 20 years of experience leading Research & Development (R&D) organizations and programs, she has a track record of building rigor and efficiency and applying broad systems of thinking across many functions, all leading to disciplined innovation that gets more products and therapies to patients in a timely fashion.

In her previous role, Jackie was Chief Quality Officer, Baxter Healthcare Corporation, Global Head of Quality, Regulatory and Compounding Services, with an organization of nearly 6,000 employees and over 70 sites. She joined Baxter in 1993 and served in roles of increasing responsibility across Baxter’s Research & Development, International Marketing, and Quality and Compounding organizations.

Jackie obtained her bachelor’s degrees in biology and medical technology (laboratory medicine) from the University of Iowa. She also earned a master’s degree in toxicology from the University of Florida School of Veterinary Medicine, an MBA from Benedictine University with continuing education at Harvard Business School, and a PhD in neuroscience/cell biology from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. 

Jackie completed the Advanced Management Program at Wharton Business School. She has served on several industry committees (Parenteral Drug Association, Medical Device Innovation Consortium) and is on the board of directors of two organizations (NAMSA and the Baxter International Foundation).

On a personal note, she has been married to Matt for 35 years, has three grown children and two grandchildren, and is an avid tennis player.
